The MCCMF was pleased to present 3 extraordinary Programs
to our faithful audiences during our “off-season period
We were enthralled in November, by our good friend, oboist Jennet Ingle, with a program titled,”For All Of Us,” an amazing concert dedicated to our American diversity. So impressed were we by this courageous recital, that we invited her to come back and perform “Postcards From America” by Susan Kander again this August 4 on Opening Night!
Our inimitable violist/composer Rudolf Haken was back on May 6, with his colleague and former student (currently Professor of Viola at Western Illinois University), Istvan Szabo. They absolutely thrilled our audiences with a program called “Viola Virtuosity” which included virtuosic fireworks in viola concertos.
On June 22 we were enthralled with “Classic Korea,” a program in conjunction with Leota Publicity. This featured Korean and Korean-American musicians and singers in a wonderful program of classical, broadway, and Korean folk music.
We always think of these types of programs as part of our summer festival programs as they prepare us and keep our musical appetites hungry for more great music!
