The Michigan City Chamber Music Festival is announcing the cancellation of our concerts and presentations on April 6th & 7th, April 18th, and May 3rd & 4th. The cancellations are due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as suggested by the State of Indiana, World Health Organization, and the Center for Disease Control to lessen contact in groups of 10 or more.
These times and circumstances are presenting difficulties and challenges for all of us. The MCCMF will suffer an interruption of our relationship with you, our audience, and the flow of our artistic growth. Our musicians will suffer a severe financial setback. This decision, however, was not at all difficult to make! This decision is about saving lives. It would be a most irresponsible and selfish endeavor to organize a public event such as this. In this spirit, the MCCMF is happy to comply, in community solidarity, to battle this insidious pandemic!
We, staff and Board of Directors, are in discussions about the possibilities of rescheduling performances. No decisions have been made in this vein, of course, but we will keep the public informed to any updates. Please check our website, mccmf.org and our Facebook page at facebook.com/MCCMF. All of us at MCCMF appreciate your on-going support for our organization.
We wish you all good health and happiness during these times, and, of course, as always …
VIVA LA MUSICA!!
All our best wishes,
The MICHIGAN CITY CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL
